Meet the Founder: Fritz “Phil” Drexler

Phil has spent more than 22 years in professional investigations, starting in 2004 and earning Rookie of the Year in his first year in the field. Since then he has conducted thousands of hours of surveillance and SIU work, from activity checks, recorded statements and evidence gathering to complex fraud investigations. He has also managed teams of investigators from case assignment to final report, served as an Operations Manager, and helped expand an investigation firm’s operations into Florida.

Alongside his civilian career, Phil served 14 years in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, separating as a Staff Sergeant. As an Intelligence Analyst, he deployed to Haditha, Iraq, where he earned a Certificate of Commendation. He later served as a Special Forces Logistics NCOIC and Watch Chief during Operation Observant Compass in Central Africa, where he was awarded the Army Achievement Medal and the Army Commendation Medal. His military work included serving as a Platoon Sergeant and Platoon Commander, aerial reconnaissance as a certified UAV operator, and leading Marines in high-pressure environments.

Phil founded Diligent Eye PI to bring that same mission-first mindset to every client and every case.
